NHS Dental Care

NHS Dental Care

The practice has agreed with Western Cheshire Primary Care Trust to provide NHS services for patients who reside within the West Cheshire District. The PCT prefer that you are registered with a WCPCT medical practice. Patients who live outside the PCT area can still register at the practice on a private basis. NHS dental care includes all treatment necessary to secure and maintain your oral health. Under the NHS we are provided with a fixed amount of NHS care each year, allowing for this we have to allocate our time and our NHS budget accordingly.
Please be aware that due to increasingly limited NHS funding if you fail to attend your appointments or repeatedly cancel at short notice we may not be able to offer you further appointments under the NHS.
If you need help with an urgent dental problem call the practice first thing in the morning on  01829 732 979 Lines open at 8:45am Monday to Friday If all our receptionists are busy please leave a message and you will be called back. The service is provided according to strict clinical criteria, and when you call you will be triaged by a member of our clinical team to make sure your problem comes under either:

  • Trauma – this is usually caused by a blow to the face, a lost filling is not classed as trauma.
  • Swelling of the face
  • Bleeding – uncontrolled such as after an extraction
  • Pain that cannot be controlled by pain relief medicines.

If your problem is not classed as an emergency you will be offered an appointment in the first appropriate slot with your usual dentist for an assessment, there may be a wait for this appointment.
